Measured twice.
@dannerboots built the new Vicious on the Trailguard platform from its own Trail 2650 — a trail shoe chassis under a work boot, the TPU shank molded directly to the outsole rather than dropped in as a separate part. Above it, the traditional bill of materials done properly: full-grain leather, a GORE-TEX liner, dual-density EVA, and a Vibram outsole with a low-profile 90-degree heel, oil- and slip-resistant, with an ASTM F2413-24 composite toe in the safety builds. Work boots have borrowed from hiking boots for decades. Borrowing from a trail runner is the more interesting admission: the job moved, and the boot followed.
