norda and Black Diamond build a trail kit out of sailcloth
The duffel in the @nordarun and @blackdiamond collection is cut from a single piece of Challenge Sailcloth Ultra 400D and folded into shape, with one zip down the centre. The Distance Pack 15L uses the lighter 100D version of the same cloth.

@nordarun put FW26 live on August 13, with color updates across the 001A, 002, 008 and 055. The 002 Travertine is the one that argues. The upper is a seamless ripstop woven Dyneema. Both the midsole and the soleplate are custom Vibram — the midsole too, not only the plate beneath it — and the stack sits lower for ground feel. norda's own copy calls the 055 midsole trail running's most propulsive. The 002 spends its engineering in the opposite direction, and a line that only moves one way is a line with one answer.

Woven once.
@norda.run weaves the 055's upper as one seamless piece of open-mesh bio-circular Dyneema, the fiber norda calls the world's lightest and strongest. The weave pattern is the engineering: it does the breathing, the drainage and the abrasion resistance, with nothing laminated over it to trap heat. Hold comes from an integrated sock collar with padding along the top of the foot, so lockdown does not depend on how hard the laces are pulled. Most uppers are cut, stitched and glued into shape. This one is woven into it, and a woven structure has no seam to fail.

Won before it shipped.
@norda.run built the 055 in the opposite direction to everything that made them: a 36mm heel and 30mm forefoot, 6mm drop, where the 005 sat low and stripped. Their designer calls it a more is more approach. The midsole is 100% Arnitel TPEE. The soleplate is a norda x Vibram exclusive, Megagrip Elite over Litebase, 5mm lugs. The upper is seamless bio-circular woven Dyneema with a knit collar and reflective line work, and it comes in at 286g in a US M8.5. Rachel Entrekin won this year's Cocodona 250 in a pair before anyone could buy one, setting the course record in a little over 56 hours.
